It is the time of year you can encounter really bad weather over Europe. On this flight Chergo, Jörg and I had to battle severe headwinds, rain and ice to get to our destination.
This flight took us (Chergo, Jörg and me) from Finow over Berlin and Potsdam to Leipzip. Flying into the sunset we encountered many monuments and even some lost places.
This flight took me from Hohenems in Austria via the Swiss Alps to Caiolo in Italy. Along the way I saw famous names on the map like Vaduz, St. Moritz or Piz Buin. Caiolo itself is one of the enhanced airports in MSFS, a great place to fly to.
I have been flying with a triple screen (consisting of three 19″ 4:3 LCD screens, running at 3840×1024) for over 10 years now.
Seeing the recent price drop in wide and ultrawide displays it was finally time to upgrade. The DELL S3422DWG (34″, 3440×1440 resolution) provides great colors and clarity at a reasonable price. Being a curved display, it greatly improves the visibility and immersion in MSFS.
To celebrate and calibrate I took the A2A Comanche 250 throught the Alps from St. Johann to Hohenems near the Bodensee.
The last leg of this bushtrip took us over the highest mountains to the shores of New Guinea. Beautiful locations and challenging approaches awaited us.
We (Chergo, Jörg, Mario and me) headed further into West New Guinea. This time we all changed over to Grand Caravans, which made the small strips even more challenging.
We (Chergo, Jörg and me as usual) headed for the mountains. The strips between Yapsiei Airport (AYYP) and Nipsan Airport (WAWT) were short and offered plenty of challenge along the way.
Chergo, Jörg and me had tremendous fun flying over the dense djungle. While following the rivers of New Guinea many small airstrips had to be found along the way.
Mario, Chergo and I started the New Guniea bushtrip and flew the first two legs. With a lot of short grass airfields around the NXCub could really show off its capabilities.
Mario and I enjoyed flying around the Alps even tough the weather was marginal. The NXCub is a great little plane for sightseeing and we had lots of fun.
