After the French Alps and a short detour to Scotland this task took place in the USA. The Grand Canyon is an astonishing, truly beautiful and, as we found out, dangerous place to fly.

It has become a tradition that the person having its birthday can choose the route flown on that day. It was Jörg’s turn and he choose Switzerland. We crossed the country from Zuerich to Geneva along its southern lakes.

Altiports is a name unique to french airports with extraordinary features, usually sloped and short runways due to mountain terrain. And we had a lot of them on this flight towards Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps.

The France bushtrip continued, we left the Mediterranean Sea behind us and climbed into the Alps. From now on all airports will be Altiports.
This part of France is beautifully modeled all around. Flying out of Marseille into the mountains was a truly breathtaking experience I can recommend to anyone.

After flying in Australia and Vietnam, we decided it was time to continue the France bushtrip and flew 3 more legs up to Montpellier.
We admired the mountains and battled the weather and for the last legs it was getting dark as well. None the less MSFS provided great scenery and lots of foto opportunities.

I had a sightseeing trip planned for my friends spanning four countries in a little over an hour. Thanks to various world updates there was a lot to see on this trip south from Klagenfurt via Ljubljana and Trieste to Pula.

We (only Jörg & me this time) decided to continue the France bush trip as Chergo was still not available. Next time then!
We continued to marvel at the beautiful landscape, but later had to battle the weather and the mountains enroute to our first altiport landing.

We (only Jörg & me this time) decided to start a new bush trip as Chergo was not available and we did not want to spoil the end of our Patagonia bush trip for him.
We have never flown in France before so we were curious what to expect from this trip. And we were in for a surprise.
