This aircraft, developed by GotFriends, is a bush-plane version of the Wilga with a more powerful engine and large Alaskan Bush Wheels tires for rough terrain. It features a blend of older and modern avionics, a realistic flight model, and a high degree of interactivity within the cockpit. Also, it offers great views due to its slow flying capability.
Horishima-Tokushima
On this flight we (Chergo scouted another great route, this time over the Seto Inland sea in Japan) took off from Hiroshima and continued our trip East. First up was Tatara bridge spanning 980m, making it the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time of opening.
We continued along the highway towards Ikuchi bridge (forming the Nishiseto Expressway together with Tatara bridge) and then further to Fukuyama Castle. In contrast to most castles in Japan taken down during the Edo period, this one is intact. Exiting Fukuyama we passed over Kokancho harbour, greatly detailed down to the coal basins. In general, this part of Japan seems to look great in MSFS2024 with very highly detailed photgrammetry.
Turning briefly south we encountered the Seto-Chuo expressway connecting prefectures Okayama and Kagawa with its 3 main bridges: Shimotsui-Seto, Hitsuishijima and Bisan-Seto. At the other side lies the city of Marugame. Its castle is barely recognizable, only its foundations remain.
In general, this part of Japan seems to look great in MSFS2024 with very highly detailed photgrammetry. The next city proved this point as we overflew Takamatsu with its Symbol tower standing at 151m tall.
When the sun started to set, we decided to shorten our flight and land at Tokushima. We flew over Bizan Park with its oberservatory and shrine and continued towards the airport. As we crossed Yoshino river we spotted a little island in the inlet and as we were sitting in bush-planes we decided to land there for the night.
