Pontiac51's Slot Race

10-06-01

This time it was a revival track the race was held on. A adapted version of the first circuit ever raced on in the Pontiac51 Championship. The course was found smooth, fast and with a rythm in it. All drivers agreed it would be close racing here and it was, despite the fact some drivers maybe had not their best laps in qualify:

The man of the class "Suom" showing unexpected performance on this heat, even "Viking" was impressed. "Mondial7" was champion once but he stated that the pack was much closer now then it was when he won the first time. "Pontiac51" was on the edge, sometimes it payed off and he won, but he often did a DNF also.

So "Hazy", "Grilli", "Kleiner" and "Gelse" were in Class A.

"Grilli" out in front here, only one DNF. "Gelse" with a very good performance right in front of "Kleiner" who had to go down to the B-Final, another favourite out of the top 4. "Hazy" earned her first points rather hard, as every rookie does.

"Pontiac51", "Kleiner", "Hazy" and "Mondial7" would settle pos. 5-8.

This final saw another excellent drive by "Viking". He won where he could, stayed 2nd where he had to. The others chased him, but only "Gelse" was able to beat him twice. It looked like the faster the group chased "Viking" the more stable he drove to the win. "Suom" had lost concentration in the final, he was more "off" than "on".

Congrats to all drivers, thank you, ladies and gentleman, for an exiting race. The Pontiac51 Raceway will be back in july. Till then, go fast, turn left...
