Pontiac51's Slot Race

The third race was held on "Worker's Day", featuring wonderfull sunny weather, so only a few racers found their way to the racetrack. "Viking" was here of course, his girlfriend "Nathalie", "Suom" for his 2nd race, then "Maxi TB", "Reaper", "Werner" and "Pontiac51". "Castor", man of the first hour in the P51 raceway history finaly had the time to join another race. Training was limited to sunday evening and monday but everyone found enough time to do some laps on the circuit. The qualify was domibnated by "Viking" grabbing the pole with a new track record of 4.9453 secs. The rest of the field looked like this.

So "Pontiac51", "Castor", "Werner" and "Suom" competed in Class B.

"Pontiac51" winning this class with a style only letting "Castor" slip by once. Pretty much DNF's in this class.
In class A there were  "Maxi TB", "Viking", "Reaper" and "Nathalie".

"Viking" out front clearly, only "Reaper" scores  a win against him getting him second place in A-final here. Tough fight for the place in this class.
In the B final "Nathalie", "Maxi TB", "Suom" and "Castor" would settle positions 5-8.

"Castor" sharp in front here, close behind him "Nathalie", then "Maxi TB" and finaly "Suom". Good close racing here, a final sure fun to watch.
"Viking" and "Pontiac51", old friends in final rounds against "Werner" and "Reaper".

"Werner" tough his second race scoring his first win in a final, holding off "Reaper". "Pontiac51" tried closing the gap to "Viking". Maybe would have worked without that DNF. "Viking" again with a good clear run, tough not so clear as the last races.
So the "Grand Prix Champion Trophy" and the "Pole Position Trophy" for "Viking", the "Runner Up Award" for "Werner" and the "Steadiness Award" for "Suom".
Congrats to all drivers, thank you, ladies and gentleman, for an exiting race. The Pontiac51 Raceway will be back in 3 or 4 weeks. Till then, go fast, turn left...
